Excellence
The Doctoral Program at ISI Yogyakarta is held based on the permit granted by the Director General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture with Decree Number 1881/D/T/2006, dated April 12, 2006. The study program, named the Doctoral Program in Art Creation and Study, has two concentrations of study, namely Art Creation and Art Study. ISI Yogyakarta's Doctoral Program has been accredited "Excellent" based on BAN-PT Decree No. 8858/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/D/VI/2021, dated June 22, 2021. In addition, in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17/KPT/I/2019, the name of this program was changed to the Art Study Program Doctoral Program, starting from January 29, 2019.
ISI Yogyakarta Doctoral Program education is structurally designed to develop concepts in the field of art creation and study, with the aim that participants are able to translate them into works and art research that can answer increasingly complex challenges and competition in the future.
Through a directed program, doctoral candidates will have a comprehensive insight into the work and methodology in the creation and study of art. Thus, they are expected to be able to develop new concepts in the creation and study of art using interdisciplinary approaches and multidisciplinary concepts based on national culture and international insight.
Vision
In 2030, ISI Yogyakarta's Doctoral Program Art Study Program will become a reference for higher education in the arts in Southeast Asia.
Mission
- Organizing higher education in the arts that develops the potential of the plurality of arts and culture of the archipelago and is oriented towards competition at the international level;
- Improve analytical, creative, and management skills in the creation and study of art at national and international levels;
- Strengthen the organization of the postgraduate program to improve the quality of educational services;
- Developing cooperation in the field of art study and creation with educational institutions/institutions at the national and international levels.
