HISTORY

The Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta, known as ISI Yogyakarta, is a state higher education institution for the arts with the authority to provide education up to the highest level. ISI Yogyakarta was established based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia No. 39/1984 dated May 30, 1984, and was inaugurated by the Minister of Education and Culture, Prof. Dr. Nugroho Notosusanto, on July 23, 1984.
