KBRN-Yogyakarta The Arts Agenda for six days with a busy schedule colored the 31st Anniversary celebration of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts ISI Yogyakarta, which was centered on the ISI Sewon campus, Bantul, from Thursday, May 21 to Monday, June 1, 2015.
Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M. Hum accompanied by Purek I, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Dana, SST., M. Hum. In the Press Conference, Monday (05/18/15) in the Rectorate Room related to the 31st Anniversary told reporters that the task of Higher Education in Art is to prepare human resources (Human Resources) in art expertise, then for art preservation and for art renewal.
The Anniversary activities began with the Screening and Exhibition of works by students of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts FSMR as well as the opening of the Anniversary commemoration at the ISI Yogyakarta Gallery.
The Art Exhibition as a mandatory agenda in every Anniversary of ISI Yogyakarta is a place for evaluation and public accountability for the management performance of an art education institution.
Exhibition Coordinator Akhmad Nizam, M. Sn. said that the exhibition is a parameter of the institution's success consisting of elements of Lecturers, Curriculum, Employees, Management and Facilities.
It also includes the existence of Alumni as a product of the educational process, so that a combination of the best works of students as an element in the process of education, with the work of alumni as the output of institutions that have processed in a wider environment.
Through the Exhibition, it is hoped that the Red Thread between educational institutions and the existence of artists will be connected as a foothold for continuous improvement efforts, so that there is a clear flow between process and results.
Through the theme Exploring Techniques Weaving Ideas partially Exploring Techniques means exploring skills in processing materials and using techniques in work. While Weaving Ideas is the strengthening of concept construction which is the systematization of exploring ideas.
According to Akhmad Nizam, the two are inseparable in creating works so that an artist is required to master praxis and analysis. The agenda on Thursday, May 28 at 7:30 pm is a theater performance entitled Blong.
On Friday, May 29, there was a free Screen Printing Creation Demo. The following Saturday morning until noon, May 30, there was a Gong Gde performance, then an open Senate Session and a Scientific Speech by Retno Mustikawati, M.F.A.
For Saturday afternoon starting at 13.00 WIB, a People's Party will be held in the form of Dayak Grasak Tutup Ngisor dance and UTI Dance Company as well as Dolalak from Kali Gesing and Warsana performances.
The Saturday afternoon agenda was Creativity and Alumni Gathering enlivened by the Alumni Band and Art Speeches by Nasirun and Brotoseno. Then continued with the opening of the exhibition.
For the last day on Monday, June 1, it begins with an Art Seminar in the morning followed by Senja Entertainment which will showcase the potential of Sewon community members around the campus and closed with a Contemporary Wayang Performance, Bajidor by students of the Faculty of Performing Arts FSP.
